You will have to present your booking confirmation voucher, driving license, identity card or passport.

There is no excess blocked from your credit card or debit card. You pay only your rental.

Our airport car rental counter is opened as from 5 a.m. until 21 p.m. Our agent will be waiting for you for the car delivery. We kindly suggest you to put your flight number as this will help us to trace the flight landing time in the booking form. If you have already paid for the voucher, it is not a problem. You can still collect your car. You have to present your passport and license as an identification proof.

We offer exceptionally a late arrival service at the SSR International Airport, which allows you to collect your car even after hours. Kindly email us your special request.

No, we do not guarantee a full tank.  We operate a same to same fuel policy.

Yes, we give you the option to pay by cash (Euro or Mauritian rupees)once you are in Mauritius.

When you collect your hire vehicle you will receive a rental agreement or a contract from our agent. This document contains all the information you need to know, including the booking price and the vehicle’s condition.  You will need to check and sign your rental agreement before you take your hired vehicle.

If you arrive earlier than expected either for delivery or drop-off, please notify us and we will try our best to come and meet you at the earliest possible subject to the availability of our agent.

We accept both debit cards and credit cards: Visa, Mastercard and Maestro.

Yes.  It is free of charge.  Kindly inform our agent at the time of delivery and he will add it in the contract.

You must fill in the Agreed Statement Form which you will found in the glove box in all cars. Both parties need to sign and you must submit this document at the drop off of the car. Then, you need to call us on +230 637 8080 to inform us about the incident. A replacement car will be given if the car has been severely damaged.

Kindly send us an email for the requested extension 48 hours in advance. We shall send you confirmation by mail.

I need to inform the management by mail and pay for the offence at the drop off of the car.

In case you have a mechanical breakdown or are involved in an accident, please call us during office hours on: +230 637 00 00 which is displayed in your rental agreement.

Your car will run on either petrol or diesel.  Our agent will help you out or the guys at the petrol station.

The driver of the car should be responsible for all fines and violations.

All cars are rented with unlimited mileage.

The Airport Exit Fee is already included in the rental.

Our rental charge is based on a 24 hour basis.

Any person can drive the car as far as he/she has his/her driving license.

Tourists are allowed to use their foreign driving licence in Mauritius.

Please contact the office as soon as possible and we will do needful to retrieve back your lost item.  If you have already departed, we will then arrange to post you back your lost property at our earliest.  Postage fee will be communicated to you.

If you are getting late or need to extend your car rental – do make sure you contact us as soon as possible; else you might incur penalty fee.

It is possible and you may be liable for additional drop-off fee.

In case you drop off the car before the specified time we will not refund you back for the unused day(s).

We understand that your car might get dirty during your journey and normally we do not charge for cleaning.  However, if this dirt is excessive due to negligence we may charge a cleaning fee to cover the cost of professional valeting.

If you return the car with lesser fuel level than provided on delivery you will be charged for missing fuel.

One of our agents will wait for you at our airport’s counter at Pingouin Car Rental, Level 0, Car Rental Booth, Counter No.6, SSR International Airport, Plaine Magnien 51520, Mauritius.  He will verify the car and complete the paperwork. Then you may proceed to level 1 for departure.
